1. The song "A rose for the dead" is absolutely ToT's classic. AWESOME! It would fit perfectly in the divine "Velvet Darkness They Fear", because the style is exactly the same. "Der Spiegel" is interesting, but different from any earlier ToT stuff. The rhythm is tense, heavy, but I /5(5).

3. the title track "a rose for the dead" was the first ToT song i'd ever heard, and is originally what made me fall in love with the haunting, grand, yet oddly minimal amount of sound they use to create the traditional gothic ideas of love and death in music/literature/5(4).
